The hot wind is blowing through your hair, music is blaring, and the scenery ever changing. Friends fill your ears with laughter and new thoughts. Road Trips inspire me in everyway. As we approach the coldest months of the year, I can't help but reflect on my summer adventures and how much I grew from them. Not only as an artist, but also as a person.
My Summer began on the long road from small town Enterprise, Oregon to Salt Lake City, Utah, to Moab, and then to Denver, Colorado among other places. As we drove my eyes were captured by the world's beauty passing by. Perpetual inspiration flowed through me as I explored nature with those I loved. Every day was absolutely beautiful, and I learned to appreciate all the struggles life has presented me. Because through those hardships, I've become someone I can love. As I underwent this journey, I focused on capturing the vibrant moments in life with my camera, because these wild moments represent raw truth and growth, reflecting my own spiritual journey.
As the Summer continued, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the Art Institute of Colorado's Summer Studio. There, I made close friends as I was able to collaborate with other passionate photographers. We shot professional models and explored the city of Denver, our cameras gripped in our hands. I was able to shoot in a studio for the first time, as well. Through all the photographic experience the summer provided, I was able to further develop my skills, which helped me grow my business. This Summer was no short of magnificent.
My advice to you is to go. Even if it's just for an hour drive to a State Park, go. Rekindle your passion for art. Infinite amounts of inspiration can be discovered in the wild with your friends.
Wishing you the best of luck,
Madison
